2017 BMW g12 M760Li
PRICE : $149,990
Introducing one of the most extraordinary cars ever built. This ultra luxury limo (physics defyingly) blends the most staggering, supercar performance with utterly, sublime sophistication and refinement. Pumping out 610bhp and no less than 800 N⋅m of torque, this V12 is incredibly special. With BMW and other manufacturers going on public record stating the V12 era is finished, to be replaced by low capacity, forced induction environmental engines.
While many cars offer a 'sport' button, the M760Li is a little bit different... In Comfort Plus mode, the car is the most docile, quiet, soft riding cloud you've ever sat on, but when Sport mode is activated, (instruments turning angry red), the ride is stiffened, the V12 growl demands attention, gear shifts, steering and throttle response are sharpened - the car now is more resemblant of a Ferrari 812! It is like owning two different cars; it simply must be experienced to be understood.
While the odometer reads 145,000kms, the car has had a cherished existence, having spent many, many hours ticking over just above idle, in 8th gear, on the freeway. This is corroborated by checking the digital service history on the cars onboard information system which shows that the car was doing nearly 160km PER DAY which we were informed by the previous owners was achieved by commuting between Margeret River and Perth. This is no stop/start chauffeur taxi and any test drive will confirm this. Our MD was fortunate enough to drive a brand new M760Li in 2017 and was stunned by the absence of wear on this example, both mechanically and aesthetically.
Speaking of aesthetics, the Rubinschwarz (Ruby Black) paintwork on this car is exquisite; varying from black in low light to a magnificent brown/red in the sunlight. This contracts beautifully with the piping adorned, Champagne Nappa leather, of course with all the highest levels of specification you'd expect from the flagship BMW: Sky Lounge panoramic sunroof with imbedded any-colour light diodes, reclining, heated and cooled massage seats (more analogous to couches), dual 10 inch displays for rear passengers with screen sharing for personal devices, custom scent cartridges that operate through the climate control system, a 10k optioned fridge for keeping the Dom Perignon cold, a remote-control smart key enabling you to maneuver the car from outside (or the rear seat if you want to be like James Bond) and the list goes on and on. If you do feel like leaving the glorious steering wheel to be dropped at your private jet, you can pop on chauffeur mode (no sport button here!) where the passenger seat becomes an ottoman to pair with the aforementioned couches in the rear.
There is a reason the M760Li was the most expensive BMW ever in 2017: it was the best car they had ever built. Some (including us) would argue that the V12 will never be replicated making this an irreplaceable motor vehicle.
If you are trying to avoid temptation, we recommend not inspecting this car. Seeing this car in the flesh is simply breathtaking and is liable to cause any human being of sound mind to make financially dubious decisions. But then again, to find another car of this calibre would require a half million dollar cheque minimum. We think this is the deal of the century.
The BMW is available for immediate inspection in Burnley, VIC.
